I noticed that this article hasn't made it's way here yet: Offshore Wind Farms Offer Subsidy-Free Power for First Time - Bloomberg

In my opinion, this news could be another good indicator  that the costs of some renewable energy technologies are becoming competitive and subsidies might soon not be needed some years from now. I remember some news about new and relatively cheap solar power plants, so at the moment concentrated solar and offshore wind have in some cases a competitive cost? Which technologies could reach a similar position in near future?
