The End of Coal in Europe?

Discussion created by Enrico Furnari Partner on 06-Apr-2017

This week, 26 of 28 EU countries (excluding Greece and Poland) have pledged to stop investment in new coal-fired capacity after 2020.

Old plants will keep on running, of course, but the measure might lead to the demise of coal by 2050 in the EU.

Too bad that Poland - the country that needed it the most (and the country where I am currently living ) - did not commit to such an important milestone for the de-carbonization of our grid.

In any case, it is an amazing news for Europe!
