Next Tuesday, February 6, the sixth edition of the International Academic Symposium will be held at the Parc Científic de Barcelona, the speakers, from the highest level and from other European universities, will ensure an accurate analysis of the different topics and an enriching debate on the future prospects of the energy sector.
The energy sector is currently facing major challenges due to the transition to a low emission system, and its implications in terms of supply security and industrial competitiveness. The Symposium will try to provide evidence to help clarify the doubts created in the sector on how to face these unprecedented challenges. The different presentations will examine several issues related to technological development, the design of new energy markets and the objective of energy and environmental sustainability.
Among the main experts that will attend this international event is the presence of Professor Frank A. Wolak from Standford University, of Baran Doa and Daire Mccoy from London School of Economics who will be addressing the challenges of the energy sector from the perspective of the Energy Transition, and the analysis of UK policies in energy efficiency upgrades. The closing of the Symposium will be in charge of Mario Ragwitz from Fraunhofer Institute of Systems and Innovation talking about Future Energy Markets: Challenges of the Paradigm Shift to Renewable Energy based Electricity Systems.
