Topic Description

Daunted by the prospect of wasting away his youth sitting at a desk, Hamish avoided a graduate engineer job and  embarked on a world tour of culture and self discovery. Coupling his passion for photovoltaic off-grid systems and adventure he traveled to remote parts of the globe to help those in need design and install photovoltaic solar systems. He has volunteered in remote communities in Tonga, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, Cambodia, India, Kenya and Zambia. He will be presenting on the experiences and lessons learnt during his travels in a bid to inspire others to embark on their own journeys. For those that wish to volunteer themselves, he will be providing assistance through his many contacts and practical experience.
