Animal agriculture is a leading cause of climate change and environmental degradation, and Germany has just taken a bold action to set a good example.

The Germany’s environment minister recently announced that her ministry would no longer be serving meat. Obviously, the reactions have not been positive, but it seems that the measure will be applied regardless. Anyway, it's just for a vegetarian meal a day (not vegan, which would have been much more difficult) - the minister can obviously eat meat for dinner or breakfast.

If a whole country is leading by example, shouldn't we, a community in the sustainability field,  adopt an only vegetarian policy in our events? What is your opinion? How would you react to such a change?

Disclaimer: I am not vegetarian - but I do try to reduce meat consumption.
