About InnoEnergy

The challenge is big, but our goal is simple: to achieve a sustainable energy future for Europe. Innovation is the solution. New ideas, products and services that make a real difference, new businesses and new people to deliver them to market.

At InnoEnergy we support and invest in innovation at every stage of the journey – from classroom to end-customer. With our network of partners we build connections across Europe, bringing together inventors and industry, graduates and employers, researchers and entrepreneurs, businesses and markets.

The CommUnity by InnoEnergy Story...

In 2013, inspired from the EIT Alumni connect, it became apparent that InnoEnergy required an Alumni community for the 400 students coming from its educational programmes. The energy world needs solutions and connected game changers.

Afterwards, in 2014, with the help of InnoEnergy student peers and elaborating a proposal to the InnoEnergy's CEO, the strategy was agreed upon: Create the most impactful sustainable energy community through entrepreneurship and innovation. Not only education centric. But composed of senior professional or retired professionals that would increase their involvement in a medium term. And in the long term children and adolescence would be targeted.

In the first half of 2015 the first events in multiple locations were organized by brave volunteers, the community representatives. The strategy was tested out with a market research with all stakeholder types in the community. Throughout the year the movement accelerated with more representatives and events locally, culminating in the inaugural InnoEnergy Alumni event in Berlin, hosting close to 170 participants over 3 days.

With the tremendous help of over 70 CommUnity representatives, over 46 local events are present in 8 locations (Spain, Belgium Portugal, France, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Poland) the The CommUnity Days hosts more than 200 participants, a The specified item was not found. has commenced, the CommUnity Post creates news about the CommUnity and the much demanded CommUnity platform launched.
