Tomas BaronasCommUnity Mentoring Programme Manager

Tomas is a Electromechanical/Software Engineer working on a number of projects as part of hardware/software development company. He holds a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from UBC and an MSc. Management in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from ESADE in collaboration with InnoEnergy, and has previously worked in HP, Canon, and Greenlight Innovation amongst others designing and building machines, products and software. Currently residing in Barcelona, yet always on the move, Tomas loves to travel, snowboard, and enjoy life to the fullest moment.

Malgorzata Surowiec

Mentoring Program Mentee Manager

Malgorzata is an InnoEnergy MSc SELECT student with a background in Chemical Engineering. She spent her first year of studies at UPC in Barcelona. Currently, she is continuing her study at TU/e in Eindhoven where she is working on her Master’s Thesis in Applied Physics. Her major field of interest is thin film solar cells, but she is also deeply involved in a project involving envisioning a net zero energy community. Privately she loves to be active, which is why in her spare time she enjoys climbing and hiking.

Farid Fawzy

Community Mentoring Programme Manager - Benelux

Farid is an InnoEnergy alumni who graduated in 2014 from SELECT master’s program and has a background in Mechanical engineering. He has worked for Apollo Vredestein in the Netherlands, while managing his own company in Egypt. He is currently residing in Eindhoven. Farid loves to swim, travel, and play football. Iker de Loma


Iker is an InnoEnergy alumni graduated in 2017 from RENE master´s program. He has attended different universities in Spain, Romania, and Portugal. Currently, he is taking a graduate program for Smurfit Kappa in the paper industry. After been a CommUnity representative in Lisbon and Barcelona, he has joined the mentoring team in October 2017. Iker likes going out with his friends, music, and roller skating.
