Davide Garufi Fu

Function: Eindhoven/Benelux Local Manager About me: Davide aims to leverage on the CommUNITY network to change the game. Only together we can reach tremendous sustainability goals for our society. He holds a master in building engineering and architecture, and after his thesis at CSTB France, he joined the postmaster program PDEng Smart Energy Buildings and Cities at TU/e Eindhoven. Currently working as Project Manager and bridging R&D and Business Development  within the department of Smart Energy and Built Environmentat of VITO, the leading independent European applied research center located in Belgium. Entrepreneurial minded he has worked for a startup into BIPV Facade systems and recently started his own company. In his experience as CommUnity Manager since March 2015 he strives to empower the representative teams, support the members and attract new communities towards ours with the goal of bringing more value and business/networking potential.

 

Tom Huizer

Function: Entrepreneurship team
About me: Tom Huizer currently works as business developer at the InnoEnergy venture Heat Power. After a bachelor in mechanical engineering Tom joined the European master program SELECT by innoenergy in 2013. He completed his first year of study at UPC Barcelona and graduated at TU/e Eindhoven, during which he was active member of Team Energy TU/e. Motivated to make a real impact against climate change Tom joined a glacier expedition to Greenland in the summer of 2014, together with Artek and the Technical University of Denmark. His stories about Greenland and the power of collaboration have been published at TEDx (The power of collaboration: what to learn from an arctic camp? | Tom Huizer | TEDxEindhoven - YouTube ). Within the community, Tom is committed to that power of collaboration and thereby to close the gap between InnoEnergy students and InnoEnergy ventures. 

 

 

Sergio Costa

Function: Professional Development Team

Sergio is currently a second-year InnoEnergy SELECT Student at TU/e Eindhoven. He knows the value of building strong and diverse teams in building and sustaining the fight to protect our future climate. Through his work with campaigns, and public institutions he has sought (and is seeking) to foster community, collaboration, and innovation to tackle these challenges. Sergio is currently working on a projects to support Net Zero Energy Communities, and he is a part of the Professional Development team with the CommUnity in Eindhoven.

 

 

 


Konstantinos Tzanakakis

Function: Entrepreneurship team / External Affairs team

Konstantinos (Kostis) is passionate about creating a sustainable world and he is always on the lookout for opportunities to improve it. This is the reason why he is also one of the organizers of the EIT Alumni Startup Days 2016, the event where the members of the different EIT communities meet and innovate together!

Currently working as a Design Engineer for Smart Energy Buildings & Cities and focusing on ways to make data centers more sustainable. He has a background in Electrical and Computer and engineering and holds a MSc in Sustainable Energy. His interest in different disciplines allows him to shape a universal view about energy and sustainability. During his free time he enjoys playing the entrepreneur!

Kostis thinks that the commUnity is the perfect setting to exchange ideas, unlock our true potential and create the future Game Changers.

 

Marco Pavesi

Function: Academic Support & Development Team

Marco is currently attending his second year of master in SENSE at TU/e. His main focus is on grid-related issues in the Smart Grid scenario: exploitation of renewables, improvements in the electricity market and deployment of a smart communication infrastructure. He is currently investigating a linearization method for power flows in unbalanced distribution networks.

Besides his academic career, he is also passionate about sustainable businesses, hoping to apply his entrepreneurship skills to make a tangible impact. Within the Benelux Community, his main role is to represent the student side about courses and internship opportunities in the department of Electrical Engineering.

 

Stephanie Villegas Martinez

Function: Everyday Life team

Stephanie has a double connection to InnoEnergy: as SELECT alumnus (intake 2011) and as participant of the Smart Energy Buildings & Cities PdEng program. Currently she works for Molex, a multinational company that designs and supplies interconnect solutions. In her role as Inside Sales engineer, Stephanie uses all the entrepreneurial skills learned during her studies to find new business opportunities for her company. Stephanie has a keen interest in sustainable development. Within the community, she can help newcomers settle in their new lives in Eindhoven.
