What's in it for me?

  • Acquire industry-wide service development skills (learn from other segments).
  • Learn latest big data/cybersecurity techniques and use energy-specific tools.
  • Unique EU-wide industry learning opportunity

What to expect at the Bootcamp?

A two-week introductory online module will teach you about why digitalization is so crucial right now. You will learn how digitally-aware energy businesses are gaining market share, why prosumers look for the energy supplier with the best tech, and why DSOs are looking to big data analysis to reduce network congestion. Then, three 2-week online modules will teach you about big data, cybersecurity, and disruptive business models. The big data module will teach you how to read the contents of massive energy-related datasets, using the latest digital tools to conduct your analysis. You will see how start-ups and innovators have disrupted the status quo in the energy business and learn how to emulate them in the business innovation online module. The remaining online module is in cybersecurity, which will help you understand the limitations imposed by new privacy regulations and where innovative energy concepts may have cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Finally, you get to meet your peers in the face-to-face Bootcamp in Lisbon. This hands-on event will see you using data analysis tools to extract intelligence from massive energy-related datasets. Working in groups, you will ideate new energy business concepts and see if they stand up to the hostile environment of today’s cyber threats. Finally, you get to pitch your ideas to an audience which will include investment advisors and industry futurists.
