Have you ever heard of the "Oscar" of scientific communication? I never did before watching the video of Mauro Martini, head of IBM Research, who won the award of Vizzies-The Visualization Challenge with his video on the "network theory" applied to the Earth: Special Report - The Vizzies | NSF - National Science Foundation.
In the scientific world we often concentrate on the technical content of the research we're doing, but we sometimes forget that the way we deliver the message is as important as the message itself. This video is a great example of how to deliver a complex and important message to the public in an effective and fashionable way.
I hope it will inspire you too!
